Booking & Press Kit

The Han Solo Project plays conventions, fan events, and anywhere else people will get the jokes. Full live set, in person. If you’re programming a con, a Star Wars event, a fan film festival, or a themed night, this page has what you need.

The one-line version

A rock band with five albums of original songs about Star Wars — fan theories, forgotten background characters, and the Death Star’s catastrophic safety record.

The longer version

Tom Hummer and Mike Bal met in an Iowa band called Thoughts of Crossing, where “The Han Solo Project” was a running joke about a record they never made. When Disney bought Lucasfilm and reset the canon, the joke turned into a band. Five albums later, they’ve written songs about Nien Nunb, Chewbacca’s cookie business, Admiral Ackbar’s missing limbs, and whether Indiana Jones is just Han Solo’s carbonite fever dream.

It’s affectionate, not snide. The band are fans first, and it shows — the audience for this is the person who has an actual position on the Holdo maneuver.
